Quarterback Cooper Kanie passed for 229 yards, ran for 295 yards and scored 10 total touchdowns on offence as Dan Harding's Leafa College Spirit Gridiron crushed the Boise State Broncos 114-31 in the 2074 Mountain West Championship Game at Yunupingyu Field in Canberra, ACT. Halfback Ethan Wakamatsu ran for 350 yards and two touchdowns while halfback Jackson Tatara caught three passes for 51 yards and two more scores.

Wide receiver Dayne Tsunashi caught seven passes for 58 yards and a score while added 28 pancake blocks. Strong safety Lee Bongdal led the defence in tackles with 15. Cornerbacks Vic Tsuchimikado and Billy Ooji each had two interceptions, while four other players on defence each had a pick. Left end Sam Touzokuyama paced the pass rush with two sacks.

"Our boys did a mighty fine job on both sides of the ball and played with the hearts of lions," said Harding after the match. "We think we're in a good position to challenge Utah for the title of the best team in college football in January. It was a fantastic performance and we were able to exploit a number of flaws in the Broncos defence to get the win."

Leafa improve to 13-0 and will most likely face the Utah Utes in the 2075 BCS International Championship Game.
