A new sportsdrink developed by sports scientists on campus at Leafa College was developed yesterday. The sportsdrink, the aptly-named LeafaJuice, was tested on Dan Harding's gridiron team on Spirit Senior Day at Yunupingu Field in Canberra. The end result: a 128-21 smashing of the Fresno State Bulldogs in front of a capacity crowd in the final home-and-away game for the four fourth-year quarterbacks.

Quarterback Lachlan Akai, the team captain, passed for 251 yards while rushing for 427 yards and 11 total offencive touchdowns. Halfback Ethan Wakamatsu, another fourth-year, ran for 288 yards and three majors while catching six passes for 54 yards and another score, wideout Xavier Kim caught six passes for 69 yards and wideout Dayne Tsunashi led the blockers with 29 pancakes.

Middle linebacker Roy Hanamura led the defence with 15 tackles. Strong safety Lee Bongdal and cornerbacks Billy Ooji and Zach Choi each had two interceptions. The pass rush was led by defensive tackle Levi Iori with five sacks. Two other players on defence also had a pick apiece.

Leafa improve to 12-0 and are back in action in two weeks against the Boise State Broncos in the 2074 Mountain West Championship Game at Yunupingu Field. The game is already an announced sellout.
