Leafa Spirit Hammer Utah Utes, 125-10, For Third BCS Championship

Dan Harding's Leafa Spirit Gridiron Team finish the season 14-0 after destroying the Utah Utes, 125-10, in the 2075 BCS International Championship Game at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. With starter Cooper Kanie and team captain Lachlan Akai lost due to injury, it was up to third-stringer Jack Mikoshiba to take the reins. Mikoshiba passed for 248 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 215 yards and five more scores.

Halfback Ethan Wakamatsu ran for 221 yards and three majors, halfback Jackson Tatara ran for 212 yards and three touchdowns while catching eight passes for 104 yards, wide receiver Xaview Kim had 23 pancakes, wideout Dayne Tsunashi had 20 pancakes, and both Kai Emiya and Mitch Kihara had 12 pancake blocks apiece.

On defence, middle linebacker Roy Hanamura closed out a solid banner year with 18 tackles and a sack. Linebacker Leo Tatsumi had three sacks while fellow linebacker David Hazuki added an interception. Strong safety Lee Bongdal had 12 tackles while cornerback Luca Mizushima had 11 and cornerback Vic Tsuchimikado had 10.

A victory parade and rally will take place on Jan. 15, 2075 at Commonwealth Avenue and Parliament House, honoring the 2074 Leafa Spirit Gridiron Team.
