Leafa College Spirit Gridiron wide receiver Dayne Tsunashi was forced to run seven laps up and down in the rain following a 129-27 victory for Dan Harding's Spirit over the New Mexico Lobos after dropping a pass on fourth down and long. Quarterback Shae Katou-Aki passed for 496 yards, ran for 294 yards and scored 11 total touchdowns on offence. Cornerback Luca Mizushima had 16 tackles, a sack and an interception returned 37 yards for a touchdown.

"I told Dayne, listen, you're gonna have to take the piss today because dropping passes is a no-no at this program and as a senior, you know better than to drop easy touchdown passes like that," said Coach Harding after the game. "But what really got me talking was the decision by Milos [New Mexico Lobos head football coach Milos Bartuziak] to punt on first down. I told him after the game, 'Milos, you will need to find another calling to steal a living from because you are unfit to coach in this profession.' Unbelieve decision, reprehensible at that."

Halfback Jackson Tatara ran for 237 yards and two touchdowns while catching 12 passes for 187 yards and two scores, Tsunashi caught five passes for 99 yards and Xavier Kim had 28 pancake blocks to lead the blockers. Left end Gary Acura had three sacks while fellow left end Sam Touzokuyama had two sacks.

Leafa improve to 7-0 and hit the road next week to take on the Colorado State Rams.
